SEAS – Socially Engaged Art Salon at the BMECP Brighton BN1 4ZE
LGBTQI artists are invited to submit work to the Brighton Pride Exhibition at SEAS – Socially Engaged Art Salon. The exhibition will include two events. Opening and performance night on Friday the 2/9 and open day with performances, films screenings and workshops during Sat. the 10/09.
Any medium is acceptable including large scale works and installations but unless artists can bring their works and collect in person any other works will be shown on A3 digital screens.
Video work will be shown on a 50” TV or via a projector.
Preference is given to social / political work.
Artists from under-represented groups (People of colour, non-binary, disable artists etc) are encouraged to submit work.
Accepted artists will be required to pay £20 fees via paypal towards the costs of renting the space, installation, PR, printing costs and invigillation. Concessions are given in exceptional circumstances.
Artists who can invigilate for one day during the exhibition’s weekends do not need to pay the exhibition fees. Please indecate if you can and what date during Auguest weekends you are able to do so.
