The Witness Said
The Witness Said
‘The Witness Said: a profiling box’ is an artist's box (limited edition of 10) based on my recent series of paintings that investigate instances of racial profiling of black men in the UK. The originals paintings were first shown in Eastbourne, Worthing, Hastings and Brighton a part of the Constructed Geographies exhibition in 2018/19. Some of the work is based on personal experiences living in Brighton & Hove and highlights the sometimes absurd instances in which racial profiling sometimes occurs. There are 12 key elements in the box that can be engaged with in a manner of your own choosing to engage and reflect upon the subject depicted.
