'Self Portrait'

"I have created this piece in direct response to the theme call out. Titled,"Self Portrait,"it depicts my personal struggle with mental wellness and how art has been my most effective therapy. It references the art historical with Courbet's Marine which I have often contemplated as a calming work."

Artist Bio

Since graduating in 2012 with a first in Fine Art Susan's art has been a personal device to maintain her well being regularly exorcising her many demons in dark visual narratives.
